Stephen Bassett: «What is supposed to happen is for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence to conduct hearings in January to take testimony from more than a dozen witnesses»

Stephen Bassett, Executive Director of the Paradigm Research Group (PRG), is a political activist specialized in the UFO topic. Bassett has been instrumental in shaping the course of a political movement advocating for UFO disclosure and transparency. -What is your take on the current political situation in the US regarding the UAP subject? Are you surprised by the leadership of several congressmen and senators that are bringing out this issue?
-Over the past three years four tranches of legislation have been passed directly engaging UAP and the Disclosure process. Prior to December of 2020 this had never happened. Members of Congress are speaking out – even saying publicly there is an extraterrestrial presence. The political coverage of UAP by the U.S. media is at an unprecedented level. It took decades of effort by thousands of citizen researchers, activists, journalists, documentarists and witnesses to bring about this political engagement. Am I surprised? No

-This December, it will be decided whether or not giant steps in favor of UAP transparency will be taken. Senator Chuck Schumer’s amendment, which includes the UAP Disclosure Act, will either pass or fail in the next few weeks. You have very good and close contacts, could you tell us where the amendment stands right now? Any updates about that?
-The Schumer/Rounds UAP Disclosure Act was replaced with new language. The UAP section of the NDAA is about half the size of the original submission. I have converted the new UAP section into a more readable format and put in online HERE.

After disclosure by the US President, I expect that the UAP Disclosure Act will be reintroduced as a stand-alone bill and passed.

-One of the most important points of the Schumer amendment is the «eminent domain». How do you think ownership and access to non-human recovered material should be addressed?
-Eminent domain is appropriate. The research and development by government contractors on non-human technology (crashed or recovered vehicles) was paid for by the U.S. taxpayers. It belongs to the U.S. Government to be utilized and further developed for the common good. This does not preclude the U.S. Government arranging agreements with civilian contractors that would bring great benefit to both parties. After Disclosure by the U.S. President, I expect the UAP Disclosure Act to reintroduced as a stand-alone bill and passed.

-AARO made it public that Sean Kirkpatrick is leaving and he will no longer be their director. Can you tell us what names are being considered to replace him at the Pentagon’s UFO office?
-I am not aware at this time who is under consideration to be the next director of AARO.

More than a dozen witnesses are set to provide extraordinary information under oath at a Senate Select Committee.

-So many journalists and ufologists are saying that the next few months are going to be historic. What’s your point on that? Are you as excited as they are?
-What is supposed to happen after the FT 2024 NDAA is passed with the fourth UAP section is for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Committee to conduct hearings in January to take the testimony of a dozen plus witnesses ready to provide extraordinary information under oath. One week of such testimony should provide the basis for President Biden to step forward and confirm the extraterrestrial presence. Paradigm Research Group is conducting some activism to help the Senate Majority Leader Schumer, Intel Committee Chairman Warner and Ranking Member Rubio to hold those hearings. The project is called Shift Storm.

-People in Spain that might don’t know what the Paradigm Research Group is, how you would define it for them?
–Paradigm Research Group is a political activist entity seeking Disclosure of the extraterrestrial presence by heads of state of nations. It will soon be converted into a non-profit think tank.

-What can you tell us about the ‘Hollywood Disclosure Alliance’ initiative? What projects will be carried out around that initiative?
-The Hollywood Disclosure Alliance is a non-profit networking organization founded to bring together professionals in the entertainment industry with the citizen researchers, activists, journalists, documentarists, and witnesses who have sought the truth about the extraterrestrial presence for 75 years in order to create the content that will inform the human race in the post-Disclosure world.

-People in Spain wonder if everything that is happening in the United States regarding the UFO issue is just a mere distraction to cover up important issues such as Biden´s situation or the different war situations. What would you tell them?
It isn’t.

-Do you have any information about next steps or how the private aerospace contractors and private companies like Lockheed are managing this subject? Are they afraid about it? Are they planning how to get commercial profit of this in case of Disclosure?
-The government contractors are conducting themselves in the usual manner of modern capitalism, which is underregulated. They will seek to make as much money as possible for their shareholders with little or no consideration for the common good. If U.S. politics should regain its sanity, this will not be allowed to happen. That is the message the Schumer/Rounds amendment was intended to send whether or not it remained in the FY2024 NDAA.

The disclosure should occur in 2024 and needs to happen in January or February before the 2024 election gests underway.

-What do you expect from 2024? Will there be UAP disclosure?
-It should happen in 2024 and needs to happen in January or February before the 2024 election gets underway. This timing is in the hands of the Senate Intelligence committee. When the date for Senate hearings is announced, you can start counting down the days until Disclosure.
